Circuit Fundamentals
Description
Ages 11-16; Electronics are an integral part of our daily life but do you know what is inside of them? In this beginning class on electricity and electric circuits we will explore just that. In this solder free class we will explore a multitude of different circuits using lights, sounds, sensors, radio waves and Boolean logic. Students will learn to use volt meters, read and write electrical diagrams as well as build a working AM/FM radio they can take home with them.
Coding and Robotics with Mindstorm
Description
Ages 11-14. Do you know what a robot is capable of doing? Get ready to take control! You will build robots, program them to accomplish tasks, respond to external stimuli, and overcome challenges. Using the NXT brick from Lego(TM), you will control the robot using NXT programming language and software programming techniques. Experience the challenges of navigation, avoiding and climbing over obstacles, and moving objects.
VEX Robotics and Simple Machines
Description
Using the versatile VEX IQ ROBOTICS kit students will build a multitude of models to explore robotics design. First exploring and manipulating simple machines, the building blocks of all robotics, then graduating to remote controlled robots. Students will design robots to overcome different challenges including those that have been used in previous VEX IQ ROBOTICS national competitions. This team-based engineering camp gives students the tools to problem solve using the "Think, Do, Test" design process.

Dissecting Computer Technology
Description
Ages 10-16. Sure, you know how to use your computer, but do you know how it works? What is an I/O port? What is a motherboard? How does the memory work with the hard drive? You’ll take a working computer apart, examine the pieces, and put it back together! Will it still work? That’s up to you! Find out why those disks are called “floppies” when they are hard. Also explore the evolution of personal computing and what tomorrow may hold for technology.
